Heeeeeeeeere's Kender!

This page is for the nosy bastidges who want to know all about me. Well here's a beginning:

Here I am in all my feminine, long-haired, chainmail-bikini-flauntin', leather-jacket-wearin' glory.

And then there's the Renaissance look (and sunburn!)... me in my old Landsknecht garb.

One of my philosophies is that I don't work to work, I work to support my hobbies. If my work leaves me no time for fun, why bother living? My "hobbies" mean so much to me, I don't really differentiate between "hobbies" and "lifestyle". I'm into a lot of stuff & really can't be categorized easily. I'm a freak, I'm a reenactor (Medieval & Reformation), I like being in on the fun but I like taking pictures. I'm generally a nice person, but my moods change. I try to treat well people I like, and ignore those I don't.

Music is fairly important to me... I like to have background noise. Music labels and popularity are irrelevant (I can't keep up with genre labels anyway). I can't decide which song or group is my favorite- I like lots. Here's a list... Industrial: Rammstein, NIN, Front 242, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, Apoptygma Berzerk, White Zombie, Prodigy... stuff with a heavy beat I can dance to. VNV Nation, Covenant, Wolfsheim, And One, Beborn Beton, Funker Vogt and The Azoic are all on my wishlist. Period or folk music: Pyrates Royale (they sing at Maryland Ren Fest); Father, Son & Friends; Minstrels of Mayhem; Battlefield Band, a modern Scottish group who include traditional styles in their work. Dead Can Dance Sorta gothic, sorta medieval, with samples from around the world. All wunnerful stuff.  I patronize Alchemy on Thursday, and Chiaroscuro on Saturday when I'm able.

I like reading, unfortunately I haven't had enough time for it lately. Sci-fi, fantasy, horror, historic fiction and medieval literature. William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, George R.R. Martin, Brian Lumley, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephan Grundy. Favorite poems include Beowulf and Poe's The Raven

I should say something here about medieval stuff. I'm in a number of medieval and not-quite-medieval groups. Maybe I'll just list them here and describe them more on the 'links' page (when I finish it). Clan Kindred of the Wolf is my family. (We do Pennsic, various sci-fi/fantasy/horror cons & of course parties together. Oh yeah, and a lot of WEDDINGS recently.) I used to do more but have been inactive in reenacting.
